Hey dad!
Mom is the best, and so are you, ever since i have been here i have realized how great my family really is, there is just so many broken up families here it is really sad it makes me appreciate my family so much, we actually just put a father led family on date for the 26th of December, its the first real family that i have actually been teaching, but they are great, i hope it works out, that would be the best Christmas present if we could baptise the whole family. ha ha i just died laughing here at the computer store when you said you don't mind Oakley in the house, everyone looked at me, that's really funny, I'm sorry tho that you are alone, that's probably not much fun. (Because mom and everyone else is out of town!)
Ya i love President Uchtdorf i wish i could talk like him, then people would understand me better here. That's great that the cougars are winning..i like how they finally started winning right after i left, i guess I'm bad luck or something, i hope they beat Utah.
My package has not arrived yet but I'm hoping on getting it this Saturday when we go to the temple, ya were actually going this week not last week, this week we actually had stake conference. Elder Oaks and Packer talked to the people of Africa, it was very cool, and we actually had 1 investigator that took a taxi all the way to Gaboroni! he is so cool his name is Tuso and he is 16, he is so committed he will be a very strong member.
Ya i love Johannes the father guy, he is really cool he just does not understand English very well, people here can speak OK English but they do not understand it very well, so we actually decided this week to take 30 min every morning for language study, the only thing is once i get transferred I'm probably going to be speaking Zulu or Africans, so then I'm going to have to learn those languages, o well.
That's funny you mention about your suit, we actually have a local tailor guy here from zim he is actually very good and is very cheep, he made my companion a really nice suit for about 300 pula, which is really cheep. I Think I'm going to have him make me some more shirts because mine are already getting beat. But ya my knee is okay, i cant kneel on it or anything but i don't think i seriously damaged it or anything. It was more funny then anything. But its really good to here from you dad i love reading your emails and hearing from you guys, thanks a lot.

All is well!
Hey Dad! I am so jealous of the snow, it is so hot here, i cant even
describe it to you, yesterday it said it was like 130..i don't know how
accurate that was though, ya time is going by pretty fast, and no I was
not kidding about the six baptisms. People hear are just crazy about
religion and will walk up to you in the street and want to talk about
are religion its very weird but cool I guess. We have tons of people on
date the only problem is that the people hear are not to dedicated,
its hard to get them to church because they just don't get it. People
here are very very chill everything is in slow motion, its just
the type of people they are, but I love the people they are awesome,
they are very down to earth, everyone in are district now is white so
we get stared at a lot.
That's so cool that your sending
a camera, i was just going to tell you that mine broke!
Revelation..... Thanks so much!
I really appreciate every ones support and prayers, tell them thanks, Its hard work but its
good work, i love my companion he is a great guy, i have not told you
much about him but he reminds me of Brian at work, like if Brian went
on a mission this would be him. He is really funny and a crazy worker.
he actually used to be in the marines for Switzerland, he is a crazy
guy. But thanks for all your emails dad, I read those chapters you
gave me last week, and I read ether 12:27 alot, it helps me all the
time and I share it with alot of people, I don't know if you remember
when you shared with me that scripture but I love it and it helps me
all the time. Anyways I love you a lot dad thanks for
everything you do! And I hope that work is still going well. Take care

Hey mom happy birthday! I was looking at the calender today that you
got me and I realized it was your birthday tomorrow! Sorry I cant
really send you anything. thanks also for the package, its probable
going to take a very long time to get to Botswana, but thanks. This
week has been crazy i have been very sick, its been very hard and my
companion like broke his foot when we went cliff jumping the other
day, but I'm better now. I was so mad tho while i was sick i don't think
i have ever been that sick but o well it had to happen sometime, And
today we actually moved into are new flat! that's why I'm writing so
late today, were actually still not done, but its so much nicer, its
like from going to living in a box to a nice house, i hated that
place, some good memories tho, today i woke up and put on some socks,
i felt something on my foot so i took the sock off and guess what was
there to my surprise a freaking giant cent-a-peed (don't know how to
spell it) i died, i smashed it with my foot, so many bugs in that
place, its like infested, today we cleaned it because we were moving
out and me and my companion moved a dresser from the wall a behind it
was like termite city! it was crazy! they had built like dirt tunnels
all over behind the dresser, i took a picture it was nasty.
Church is going well I'm going to be teaching Sunday school because the
guy that teaches it has no idea what he is doing so i volunteered to be
the new teacher, its kinda weird tho. We have a really small ward of
about 50 people ant alot are investigators. We actually meet at a
secondary school, its kinda nice but not really ha ha, i took some
pictures.
Sunday it rained like crazy and it was hailing the
size of baseballs! there is dents all over are car....its a crappy car
anyways.. it was crazy there was rivers in the street and we had to
keep getting out of the car and moving these giant rocks so we could
drive home because all the roads were blocked off, the cool think was
tho that when we all got out of the car to move the rocks not one
piece of hail hit us, it was really amazing, god is definitely watching
over us, i wanted to take pictures of the hail but my camera is broken,
dad mentioned he sent one in the package tho, thanks so much.

Its been very interesting living here, everything is so different here, a couple of days ago a bee came into are house that was the size of half my hand, i was screaming like a little girl, it is so crazy all the weird things that happen here, one morning I woke up and went into the kitchen and there was 5 ducks in there and they pooped all over the floor it was so random. I love the guitar! I have been learning some hymns and trying to memorize them, investigators and members are always saying I need to come play for them. I'm going to miss being there for the holidays like crazy, Anyway thanks for your emails I love hearing from you guys and I am missing you guys like crazy, I'm trying not to think about it to much but i cant help it.

Hey, hows it going? Everything is still going well, I have had 6 baptisms so far 3 girls and 3 guys. They don't do Halloween here at all, instead all the guys in the town go and get drunk and chase us on are bikes, its funny. I'm excited to get the Christmas package! It will probably take like a year to get here, letters and other mail take along time to get to Botswana. I am going to have to send you guys some pictures I'm just not sure how to, iv been taking some really cool pictures, so we finally moved the church out of a small home into the local school, and we are actually going to be moving into where the church was so we will be closer to the town, this flat is a lot nicer then are other one, and we finally got to see conference! in are new church, and i got to see priesthood session. it was really good i loved it. Thats good you had a good Halloween, I'm excited to look at the pictures i have that picture of all of us at the airport in my wallet, and all the grand kids on my mirror at the flat. I am eating okay, this one lady fed us so much pope a couple of days ago, its kinda like mashed potato's but alot better, everyone is obsessed with it here, I also think i have seen more woman's breasts then i have my whole life! Ha ha its so awkward, older ladies will just walk around with everything hanging out or just be feeding there baby in the middle of us teaching them. its very funny and hard to get used to. I am doing great and I miss all of you!

Elder Justin Brey's Blog!!
Elder Justin Brey is serving in the South Africa and seems to be doing wonderful! I decided to put a blog together with some of the letters and pictures that Justin sends home, for friends and family! If anyone has anything that that would like me to put on this blog, please let me know and I will do my best to get it done! I am so proud of Justin and I thought it would be great for him to have a missionary blog to come home to and to have a way for everyone to see all the wonderful things he is doing!
Here are some of the first pictures and parts of some of the first few letters that we received from Elder Brey! I am pretty much copy and pasting his letters just as he writes them, but I am taking out some of the more personal stuff and leaving you with the stories and other things that are mostly about his mission. Most of these letters are to the family or to my parents, but there are some great stories, and it's fun to hear about all the good he is doing in Africa!

Dear Family, I'm doing pretty good, i was actually sent to Botswana in a little farming town called Matuti...not quite sure how to spell it, my companion name is Elder HuvelerH, he is from Switzerland and we live with another companionship elder mcnelly and elder sovia Elder Mcnelly is from Scotland and Elder Sovia is from Kenya, they are all really cool and we get along great.
Are p day is on Monday now, but i really like are area we live on a farm in a little crappy shack pretty much but i think its kinda cool, i cut off a chickens head the other day and pealed of the feathers and boiled it and everything i got blood all over me! It was kinda cool but very sick, the people hear are so nice and everyone is interested in the gospel, there is a laddy here we call ma and she gave me the name Tupaloo...it means prayer so some of the people hear call me Tupaloo.
You should see the spiders in are place, they are huge! and they are all over the place, bugs everywhere, i hate it but I'm not really scared of them anymore, there is a lizard that crawls around and eats them his name is Larry the lizard, it is so freaking hot in Botswana, you have no idea, I'm still putting on lots of weight tho for some reason.
I actually just spent about 50 dollars today on a guitar! the president said i could have one, i was playing in the street just a little while ago and we got like 4 new contacts, it was kinda cool, hopefully we can use it to are advantage. Well i love you guys very much and i am starting to miss you guys but ill be fine, thanks for all the support.
